My hand hurts.I mean really is cramped up and hurting. Why you ask? Oh yeah because I was making this awesome little guy.

So why is my hand hurting? Because I spent three hours clipping the seams on him to make him fluffy and comfortable. Thank goodness I have those fancy spring loaded scissors or this post would take longer to post.

(You know, sticking a pencil in my teeth and pecking it out takes time)

I really and truly do love rag quilts. I think they're so fun to make! The best part about them is when I'm making them I feel like a rebel because I'm sewing them backwards!

(I live dangerously, what can I say?)

The best part about this little quilt is that it was completely free! It was such a scrap buster that I was surprised. It all started when I decided to clean my sewing area. (yeah right) Then started by going through my scraps to "Organize" them. By the time I realized what I was doing, I'd cut out about 30 something 4'' squares...so I decided to just go with it. I ended up with about 160 squares when the madness wore off when all was said and done.

This quilt is 42'' X 49''. I think it's the perfect size to throw over your feet when you're watching TV, or to cuddle a little baby in!

My second favorite thing about this is that the more you wash this guy, the softer and cuddlier he gets. Front is made from scraps of 100% cotton, and the back from fat quarters of flannel I've had forever.

(um...can you guess we're Tennessee Titans fans???)

It really took me a lot to "lose control" of the placement of this. I'm a tad OCD when it comes to patterns, and this one has no pattern. I told myself the only control I could have was to make sure no two same color squares ended up next to each other.

(And if you look closely you can see that I failed at that...)

It was really fun to just randomly sew these blocks together and see the outcome. I would love to post a tutorial, but by the time I thought about it, the quilt was in the washer...*shrug*

I like it. I think I'll put it up on my Etsy shop and see if there are any takers. Even if there aren't this guy is cute enough to get the privilege of calling my house a home.
