No Sew & Pumpkin Friends

Have you linked up yet to this week's Wow Me Party? Slightly changed this week as it's going on all week instead of just till Sunday. So come on, link up and wow me! You could be featured next weekend!

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I'm not big on Halloween, but wow do I love fall! You won't see Halloween projects on my blog just cause I'm not into that. But Fall...OH YEAH! The weather changing, the leaves changing, my clothes changing! I love the crisp air, the falling leaves, the holidays just around the corner. Everything is different, everything is special for me. It reminds me of a time that was simpler when I could just enjoy the world as it is and not worry about anything else. So I think I get excited a little more than usual. (okay...a lot more excited...)
In reference to that, I've shown you a lot of crafty fall projects so far. Well here is the next one in what I'll call the "fall project extravaganza!"
My very own no-sew pumpkins. I saw this featured on a blog earlier this month (Can't remember where!) and decided I had to try it! But instead of doing just plain pumpkins, I decided to do it with a twist. I found these fat quarters at Walmart (where I'm working...) and decided they were going to be made into pumpkins.
I filled a Ziploc with some dry beans (thank you food storage, not only do you help in a natural disaster you enable my crafting addiction) and then wrapped this fat quarter around it gathering it slightly to make it look more pumpkin-ish. I then wound some twine around the top (its ugly and in no way resembles a pumpkin stem) and added a felt leaf on top. I didn't want to trim the fabric because once fall is over I might want to use the fabric for something.
Then I added my little scarecrow friends that I found at Walmart for $1. Total cost of this project (for three pumpkins) $7.50. Not too shabby!
This is the girl, can you see her pigtails? I think she's adorable!
I love this guy's topknot!
The finished project. I think it looks great! I got some new pumpkin spice candles to go in the candle holders, and my whole living room smells like fall now. I could just dance. (I may or may not have already done that...)
Hope you're having a wonder"fall" weekend! Happy October!
